What is involved in having a cosmetic tattooing procedure?
There is an initial consult where your needs are assessed, any medical conditions are discussed and any concerns are addressed. From there, we evaluate colour and discuss how you like to wear your makeup to ensure the best outcome. Once you are 100% confident, the treatment can be performed. Between 4 and 6 weeks after the procedure has been done there is a perfecting session, this is where any adjustments are made if required.
Will I need to take any time off work afterwards?
Time off work is not usually needed, please follow aftercare recommendations to ensure optimal healing. There may be minor swelling and discomfort after the procedure.
When can I wear makeup over the tattooed area?
Please allow 4 days at minimum makeup free.
what is sterile?
single use sterile disposable needles are used only, and wherever possible single use sterile medical grade supplies. Strict health and safety guidelines are followed for best practice, and I ensure all relevant health approvals are up to date and maintained.
Does it cause swelling?
There is almost no swelling to eyebrows, and minimal for lips and eyelids.
Can I go out after having a treatment?
Newly tattooed areas will appear quite a bit darker until healed, and as makeup is not recommended for at least 4 days please avoid bright sunlight. I also advise to wear sunglasses for the first 6 hours’ post eyeliner tattoo procedure.
Is it permanent?
Yes, you will need a touch up in 2 to 5 years to maintain best results. Depending on skin tone and the pigments used to tattoo.
How do I care for my newly tattooed skin?
I will provide you with all relevant aftercare information and cream post treatment. The cream is to be applied three to five times a day for one week. After this, wear a moisturiser with sunscreen in it, for lips use a lip balm with spf. Things like sunbaking, solariums, Retin-A creams, chemical peels and other harsher skin treatments will cause cosmetic tattooing to fade faster.
Does your clinic comply with regulations?
Yes, I ensure best practice and have all council, health and safety regulations and requirements maintained to a high standard.
What do you charge?
Prices can be obtained upon consultation to discuss your needs. I do not advertise pricing, based on working from multiple locations.
How long will it take?
Approximately 2 hours for the procedure. Perfecting sessions are shorter than this. Only on rare occasions is a third perfecting session necessary.
Is it painful?
Topical anaesthetics are used during treatments however, you may experience mild discomfort.

What do I do for ingrown hairs, particularly around my bikini line area?
This happens when pores are clogged with oil and dead skin, hairs that are beginning to grow out are forced to roll inward. The curlier the hair, the more prone the skin is to developing these ingrown hairs. Having said, people very prone to this can control it with regular maintenance by exfoliating two to three times a week.
How long does hair have to be for waxing?
Anything over .5cm should be picked up by the wax without much worry. Ideally 1cm hair growth will ensure best and quickest hair removal results.
How long does it take for the hair to grow back?
depending on the person it can take 3 to 6 weeks for hair regrowth. it is recommended to reschedule in monthly appointments to maintain fresh, glowing hair free skin
How long does lash and brow tinting last?
to maintain best results, it is recommended to come in once a month for tinting treatments
